Which vehicles does this cover?
This fixed price applies to the Ford Ranger, Transit and Transit Custom fitted with the 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engine, which uses an oil-immersed timing belt rather than a conventional chain.

Why the wet belt matters
The 2.0 EcoBlue's timing belt runs inside the engine, immersed in oil, rather than sitting externally like a conventional cambelt. As the belt material wears, fragments can circulate through the oil system and block the oil pickup — starving the engine of lubrication. Because these vehicles see serious mileage and load in daily use, we replace the full timing system as a package rather than just the belt, and remove the sump to inspect and clean the oil pickup as standard.
