Warrington 4x4Timing Chain & Engine Specialists
Last updated: 18 August 2026. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it.
Warrington 4x4 is a trading name of Wilsons Motor Company Limited, company number 11949751, registered office Abacus House, 450 Warrington Rd, Culcheth, Warrington, WA3 5QX. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We work from Unit 2 Aston Court, Warrington, Cheshire, WA1 4SG.
When you contact us by phone, WhatsApp, email or through this website's booking or application forms, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, phone number, email address, vehicle registration and details of the service or repair you're enquiring about. If you apply for Payment Assist finance through us, we also collect the information needed to pass on to the finance provider as part of that application.
We use this information to respond to your enquiry, provide a quote, arrange bookings, carry out agreed work and keep a record of your vehicle's service history with us. We process this data because it's necessary to perform a contract with you (or to take steps before entering one), and in some cases because we have a legitimate interest in running and improving our business — for example keeping records for warranty purposes. Where we hold accounting records (such as invoices), we do so to meet our legal obligations.
We don't sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary: with Payment Assist if you apply for finance through us (your application is then handled directly between you and them); with our website hosting and booking-system providers, who process data on our behalf to keep our systems running; and with HMRC or our accountants where required for tax and accounting purposes. We don't transfer your data outside the UK except where a service provider we use (such as website hosting) does so under its own appropriate safeguards.
We keep enquiry and booking details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and we keep invoice and warranty-related records for as long as required to support any warranty claim and to meet our statutory accounting obligations (normally at least 6 years). We then delete or anonymise the data unless we're required by law to keep it longer.
This site may use cookies for analytics (such as Google Analytics) to help us understand how the site is used. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings.
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse, and we only share it with trusted service providers as described above.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it's inaccurate, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to certain processing, and request a copy in a portable format. To make a request, contact us using the details below. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
